Underwater Ruins showcases a forgotten Roman city which is then revealed to live inside of a fish tank.

My main goal when creating this piece was to further develop my modeling skills in Cinema4D. I challenged myself to create a variety of shapes in different styles. From the broken, rigid columns to the rotund goldfish I wanted my models to create juxtaposition while also feeling unified.

The city is lit to be dark and cold to both mimic the bottom of the ocean as well as creating contrast with the goldfish character. Using a combination of volumetric lighting and particle effects I aimed to immerse the viewer in this submerged city.
